A GYROTONIC® class starts with a little chat between you and the trainer about your body-mind condition, how are you feeling today and if there’s something specific you wish to focus on.
The very first Session is an intake where we evaluate together what are your necessities, range of motion and goals. You are alone with your trainer and free to share what is relevant and important for you. You experience the movements, the studio vibe and the connection with your trainer. Therapeutic GYROTONIC®

Depending on your goal, we develop a personalized work plan that fully adjusts to your needs, whether it is a global training or with a more specific rehabilitative nature. All our equipment is easily adjustable, according to your purpose at each moment, advising you throughout the process to achieve your goals.

GYROTONIC® machines have been designed and built in such a way as to reproduce the constant and uniform resistance that occurs in water, giving the possibility of making movements with total safety, even in the rehabilitation phase.

This resistance does not have dead spots, it allows to maintain a uniform muscular tension during the movements and favors the recovery of muscle tone and flexibility.

The decrease in the force of gravity is obtained through a system of pulleys that lightens the weight exerted on the joints, giving the possibility of a faster rehabilitation through movement.

In addition to being used as a therapy, it is often used for preventive purposes to treat chronic symptoms such as low back pain, sciatica, hernia, neck pain, arthritis, or natural functional decline related to aging.

GYROTONIC® for everyone

Motor activity is of great help to face the years of the third age (or second youth), in the best physical and mental shape possible.

The work carried out in the GYROKINESIS® (free body) and in the GYROTONIC® sessions (with machinery), is work that reduces or cancels natural physiological aging.

Athletic technique involves complex movements recruiting multi-dimensional joint activity and, every athletic technique goes hand in hand with a breathing pattern. In fact, one can’t efficiently and effectively move without proper breathing. Proper breathing leads to proper oxygenation, which helps athletes develop stamina and endurance, regulate physical and mental stress during performance, and sustain energy.

The GYROTONIC® exercise also requires a multi-dimensional movement technique, which maximizes mobility, strength and stability. The movement system creates oppositional forces in the body, so that one moves in fluid and dynamic but unbreakable connectedness. It also develops breath control and encourages full use of the diaphragm – the major muscle responsible for respiration.

The Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic method was developed as a holistic training to support the daily work of a dance professional. Three-dimensional movement sequences with attention for the breath form a complete, efficient, and supporting training for body and mind.

The Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis methods are two training methods which complete each other. In a Gyrotonic session  we mainly work on specialized equipment, which helps and challenges at the same time the practitioner. 

Regular training helps to prevent injuries, stimulates your physicality in an integral way, increasesyour range of motion and teaches you to control the newly gained freedom. You will feel more grounded and at the same time lighter in your dance.
